I received my first sewing machine for Christmas! I have little to no experience in sewing. I did a few projects with my mom and my Mimi (Mom's, mom) about 10 years ago. I also hand stitched a few dolls with my dear friend Tara when we were little tweens and that is just about the extent of my sewing.
When Brandon and I were engaged, I was explaining to him some of the reasons I was excited to be married to him, in the midst of that conversation I told him he is very convenient. What he won't mention about the conversation, is that I continued further to say how handy he is and how much money he will save us over the years because of his skills around the house. I have since made it my goal to become "convenient"/handy as a wife. I believe that if I learn how to sew I will be able to contribute to our family by being able to use my ability to sew.
